hey all - i have a friend out in cali who got a secondary to ucd a week ago. she's been complete for a while, but just got the secondary. isn't this awfully late? if she even gets an interview, will it just be interviewing for a waitlist spot? or does anyone know someone who has been this late with things and still been accepted?

Just have her send it in ASAP. There's really no time to waste now. Maybe they sent it out because they haven't found what they're looking for. It could be her lucky day!

plus davis interviews very few people, so if she gets one, she's golden. well, almost.

Yeah, i think 50% of interviewees are accepted. When i went to the interview i met a student there that interviewed in early March and was accepted 2 weeks later. So there is still hope.

it is pretty late and the secondary can be overwhelming esp if you feel the pressure of having to finish it fast. its very long. but its not too bad so tell your friend congrats.

davis is rolling but obviously they take their sweet time accepting people who are waiting 🙄

so i think your friend still has a good chance depending on when she gets it done and how fast davis reviews her app.

my friend interviewed there late like march or april i forget but by that time it was waitlist battles.

thanks guys. she sent the secondary in today, so i guess we'll just cross our fingers and hope they review it and interview her quickly...

as of 1/21/04 uc davis had only filled 15 spots in their class. they are the sloooooowest

It isn't late at all.

First off, you can't compare UCs like Davis to many schools back east. Davis doesn't even fill their class unitl *at least* April/May.

Tell her to get it in ASAP. The fact that they granted her one now shows that their is a good chance she'd get an interview.
