If you can get a good grade in it sure. You might as well further your understanding and spend countless hours for pre/post labs.
People generally take 51LC for pharm school recs or if their major requires it.

yea it wouldn't hurt to take it especially if you decide to choose something other than dentistry...

you don't need to take it. also, i'm pretty sure that it doesn't have a concurrent 51C requirement, so if you do decide to switch to pharm or smthn later on, you can take just the lab. i suggest don't waste your time: its not gonna do much to improve ur GPA (its 2 units only) but you dont want a big fat C on your transcript if you happen to not do as well.
I agree with other SDNers. Do not waste your time with a lab class. Lab classes are a lot of work. Instead invest your time with other classes to increase your GPA (if it is not 4.0
