Due to the search feature being down, I was unable to locate the answer to this question so I apologize if this was asked multiple times before.

For UCLA's english requirement, does it have to be 3 quarters of actual "english" courses? I currently only have 2 quarters of classes with the title "english". I was hoping to use another class that was semi-writing intensive to be considered english but wasn't sure.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I tried that too. The answer was NO! I will be taking English next semester. 🙁

Haha, I actually wanted to know which course you wanted to take. If it is something at UCLA, I might be able to provide insight as to whether or not it would count. An English class at a community college will work, though. Don't check off the "English requirement complete" box ... all that matters is completing the requirement by matriculation. Just include a little note and you'll be fine.

Anyway, I graduated in 2005, bio major. Good luck with the application process. I hope that you get an interview here ... I love it more than undergrad! And the football team makes it even better ... 😉
