Hey guys,
I have just received an invitation for UCLA for 15-17 october. It was sent on 25 September.I will not attend the interview. So good luck to all of you.
My stats again are 87/84/105/3.34.

Finally i got my UCLA invitation call today. I guess better late than never. Last 2 days were terrible for me i was almost disappointed, about to post in rejection thread. Good luck to those who r waiting, plz dont lose hope. my stats r NBDE1 93 Toefl 106 GPA 3.23

Got the email detailing the instruments needed for the practical exam. Just wanted to confirm if we just need to carry the handpieces and the adapter. Do we need to carry the burs and the instruments or will those be provided by the University. Also can you please tell me from where can one arrange for a 5 hole coupler.

I M using the handpiece that i borrowed it from somone. U can get a decent one from some dental supply store for less than $200. UCLA store is too expensive regarding this. They r going to provide columbia typodont 860 bcos this is wot we r using in skill prep class. All the instruments u need for prepration is gonna b ur responsbility. I m still wondring abt 5 hole coupler. bcos ucla store dont carry it.

Hay,congratulation for the acceptance,when did you had your interview😕 and how long it take to hear from tufts plllllz let me know cause i am also interviewed at tufts at sep 29 and still waiting for the response I also got 2 other interviews from UCLA & USC wish if i got accepted at tufts before the others ,really tired of traveling😴

what is 5 hole coupler?

This coupler which has to be Midwest, it is a piece that goes connected with your high speed only (which unfortunatly has to be Midwest GTX or Stylus in order to fit to this particular coupler).....it has only two functions, for what I understood!!, one it's that the hoes goes connected to it so you can take your turbine with a push instead of unscrewing the handpiece from the hoes and second the 310000 rpm.....in conclusion, the total spending is like a 1000 dollars!!! between the turbine (GTX) and the coupler.......
I wonder what everybody is gonna do about it......
Please we need suggestions!!!

hi guys..did any1 arrange the 5hole coupler and hand piece..i hv the regular 4 hole one n i guess i'll tk the same one for the exam...vat is every1 else doin?

well i asked dr Stevenson abt the coupler and he said if u have a standard 4 hole handpiece u dont need that coupler. I checked my handpiece in simulation lab and it was working fine. so i think those who have 4 hole handpiece might dont need it.
