UCLA post-interview status as of 4/19

Since a few of us had a letter sent out today, I just wanted to see how many are still waiting for news.

Also, if you haven't heard anything, could you please post your interview date? I probably should have made the poll more detailed, but i was feeling kind of lazy. Unfortunately, I can't change the choices b/c the polling had already begun.

A few people had their status change to final decision letter sent on april 19. I am mainly interested in seeing how many people are included in this new batch of decisions.

just curious- looks like a bunch of people are not in the 4/19 update set... when did you guys interview? recently or before jan/feb?

What will be very helpful is if those of you who didn't get "final decision letter sent on 4/19" can post your interview date. It will be easier for us to semi-guess what these letters are. I'm so hoping this is just a batch, not the "waitlist/reject" batch.

I haven't gotten a letter yet (interviewed 2/28), and it looks like people who interviewed both before and after that date had their status change on the 19th.

all of you guys are making me nervous, and i'm not due to interview at UCLA until thursday 😀

I interviewed February 9th and have not had a final decison letter sent as of today and was not included in the apparent "waitlist batch" sent on the 19th. So, I think I wasn't good enough to get waitlisted and will receive my rejection letter in the next batch!! I guess!! Help! Anyone else who interviewed around this time, let me know your status. Thanks!!!

zealous, i interviewed on 2/7 and haven't heard anything either. i called and they said my file is still with the committee, so that is probably the case for you too. don't sweat just yet. unfortunately, we just have to keep waiting.

Thanks CaliBoy. Hey, could you give me an idea of your stats so I know if we're both being delayed for the same reason. Maybe I just have no confidence but I'm sure yours are so much better than mine and they're waiting to send your acceptance but also my rejection. I'd appreciate it. Thanks! :wink:

I interviewed on March 13th or 14th (I dont remember anymore and am too lazy to check!) but anyways my status page has not changed! Anyways, I think that people in late feb or march might not have made it to the committee yet so we'll hear soon. Aesculpian found out pretty fast-five weeks so maybe he just ended up going to the committee early. I don't really think that not hearing now means that you will be getting bad news. However, that could just be me being optimistic 😀 I would really like to know my status before my school ends in early may though. Anyways, does anyone know the specific date of when the next big meeting is?

waiting123: i was told that we should know by the first week of may. whether there's any truth to that or if that's a generic response, i don't know. they're really waiting until the last possible minute to tell us!

i don't know exactly how many acceptances are left, but i called today and was told that the class is NOT full. I was also told that they are not done interviewing, and that they will continue to interview applicants until the admissions committee decides that they are finally done.

I also asked if I would hear a decision before May 15, and she said she "hopes so." 😡

I can't believe that this thread was on page 4. Is everyone out there giving up on UCLA? Sounds good to me, how about you CaliBoy? Well, I hope that the info about the number of acceptances is correct because I'm starting to get a hint of positive thinking. Just a tad! Don't want to get my hopes up too high. I hope nothing happens in the next few days because I sent them another letter of interest. By the way, one question I do have is, how many of you out there that are waiting to hear from UCLA are URM's? Post up if you hear anything.
