Major in whatever you want. A psychology major gives you plenty of room for electives and will have a few classes itself which will count for BCPM such as statistics and biology of behavior. Personally as a sophomore I personally just have to take 2 psych courses a semester and afterward I have over 2-3 empty spots for classes to graduate. I actually prior to graduating will be able to take up to 8 biology upper level courses if I want. So in all honesty its one of the best majors for medical school application sake since you aren't required to take any specific upper level bcpm courses ( at my school bio majors need to take botany, but I am morbidly against plant reproduction science so I'd rather drop out then take the course) but at the same time you can choose tons of upper level courses like A&P.

As serenade mentioned, there are a number of upper division elective courses that you have to take, but you get to choose specifically which classes. I'm not familiar with the psychobio major, but I'd imagine that science upperdivs are among the choices. That would give you atleast another 5 or 6 sciences courses.

I was a psych major and, as someone said before, I had more than enough credits left over for electives. Although, you might have less since you'll probably have more required classes for you major. Sadly, all the biochem-type courses/electives that I took were through the psych department (biopsyc, psychopharmacology, cog. neuroscience, sensation/perception, etc) so none of them will count towards my BCMP. 🙁
