Looks like ANOTHER friggin UC rejected me...this makes little to no sense to me...

My stuff was done in early November.

It says FINAL DECISION letter sent....Since I have not interviewed...that means "rejection"
I am really getting mad at these UC's...

Well, same here for me. It says final decision letter sent 1/25/02. Well it can't be an accept since I haven't interviewed there yet! I don't understand this school. I got an interview at other 4 UCs!!! And UCLA was my number one choice. Oh well....

I got that message too, if it is any consolation. I don't like that faceitous school anyway. I can't even spell faceitous, so I guess I didn't really deserve to be a student there anyway.

Well, I find it kind of strange though that suddenly a bunch of us got this message. There is a possibility that it was an error or something! Because UCLA is usually to slow to reject so many people at once. From what I here they like to torture you before rejecting you. So let's just wait for the letter and see what happens.

mine says...supplemental materials received 9/21/01....no secondary, but no rejection either....I guess that's a good thing for these freakin' UC schools. Sorry to hear about your rejections guys. 🙁

OK, my status shows that ONLY my UC app was received. No secondary, but no final decision letter either. Anyone know if UCLA is still giving out secondaries? Or is it late enought that I may as well consider myself rejected?

I don't think it's too late for UCLA to give out
secondaries - I person I know just barely got
theirs this past week. Also, I heard that they
would be giving them out until the end of January.
There's still hope! Best of luck dude.

I can vouch for that! I got a letter from UCLA today!! and I had checked my status yesterday and this morning, and nothing was there!!! just said, we have received ur primary stuff...nothing else...so when I got this letter amidst all these rejections I was like

and the letter was SO Freakin THIN!!! I was like, snif snif, poor watcha, and then I opened the letter

they requested me to finish their secondary, so I go tonight and check the website!!! and still the same thing! we received ur primary1!!!! hello pple....do you want me to fill the secondary or not! I would have been worried that this was some kind of mistake or something, however, since it was addressed personally to mr. watcha, then I guess their interested

also, UCLA claims to be rolling, but THEIR NOT rolling admission, I have friends who have interviewed in MARCH, and they have been accepted in April with no waitlist!!! so it would be impossible for a rolling admission school to interview in march and still have open spaces...so I think their non-rolling....

I hope, they better be 😉

I, too, can join the ranks of those rejected at UCLA. Sorry to all. I haven't received the actually letter, just that same Final Decision Mailed as 1//25/02. Oh well... 🙁

well that makes 2 UCs that have axed a lot of people since the first of the year. uc davis sent out a bunch of rejection e-mails in early jan. and now ucla with their "final decision letter". my file has been complete at both since early nov. but i still have no interview. i wonder how many rounds of cuts they'll make before they send more interview invites. for those that got the dreaded rejections, hang in there. for those of us that haven't, are we next? waiting on these UCs is nerve racking.

I got the Final Decision letter sent out on 1/25 as well. Looks like they were saving them all up for a rainy day.

OK I'll make it clear to you.

1. UCLA has NOT started sending out acceptances, and won't until mid February or so.

2. If you receive a secondary at UCLA it tells you that you receive one online several days before you get the secondary.

3. If you receive a Final decision letter without interviewing at UCLA it is a rejection.

4. Since UCLA has not started sending out acceptances yet, any final decision letter that has already been sent out is a rejection.

UCLA2000,

I was indeed told on my interview day that their first round of acceptance wouldn't begin til Feb 15th. BUT, a few days ago, someone got her/his acceptance from UCLA (see <a href="http://www.interviewfeedback.com" target="_blank">www.interviewfeedback.com</a> and check out the UCLA feedback page). I called the office today to see if they did send out some acceptances already and the lady told me that the first bulk has been mailed out on 1-15-02. Most likely for those with the Nov. interviews.
