When are the application fees due at UCLA? ADA site gives
contradictory information. Ada site says, " fees and DAT score is due when one fills out AADSAS application".

But, this what it says on UCLA web page:

Information to be submitted to the UCLA School of Dentistry after you have submitted an AADSAS application.

Personal History Form (secondary application)
$60.00 application fee made to UC Regents
Official high school transcript

Please note, these items should not be submitted to the UCLA School of Dentistry until you have received a post card from the school.
I sent 3-4 e-mails to [email protected] and all e-mails bounced.
Is Kristy Fong no more at UCLA?

Please help.

Kristy moved to another department at School of Medicine.

Evelyn Marquez now handles that area I think.

In regards to the fees, it works like this:
1) You send in your app through AADSAS
2) UCLA will review it and if they decide to send you a secondary, then you will receive a postcard
3) After receiving the postcard, you pay the fee along with sending in your HS transcript and an essay

Doesnt ask for a essay this year. The last page has an area to write addition info/whyUCLA, but its optional. The HS transcripts are a pain in the ass!

Do all schools ask for High School Transcripts?

yeah! i completely agree... i went to hs in singapore... and it'll be a real pain to see if i can get them to mail it over in the time they give me.

does anyone know how important it is to have my hs transcripts in with my application? i would have though the most important part to be my college transcripts.

Doesnt show a whole lot of studying in my case!

I think that if you write an essay, it just might help an applicant stand out...maybe give them a better chance of getting in.

i think HS transcript is not a bad idea.
at least it gets us an opportunity to visit our old schools and talk with teachers and staff and let them know what you have/will accomplish in the next 4-5 years

Do you need your SAT scores on the HS transcript.
If I didn't have really good SAT scores, should i omit that?

I got the postcard and asked me to download the secondary from the net with the fee of $60 within 10 days.

I am TX resident, but I like to go UCLA. I just wonder how many in-state and out-state students UCLA accepts. If they don't accept out-state, I can save this $60. Please let me know.

Thanks all,
pddt

If I don't remember wrong (forgive me if I do), the ratio of instate and outstate is 84:4. You might want to check ADA's statistic book or Barron's Med&Dental School Handbook for detail. Too many people want to go there.....
