I want to apply to UCLA because based on the info on their website, I am really interested in the school and it would also be refreshing to live on the west coast ( NC resident).

My stats are: aa/ts/pa 18/18/18 (16GC) - retaking it early September.
oGPA: 4.00 BCP. 3.93
50 hrs of Shadowing
80 hrs of volunteering
40 hrs of research
A good amount of extracurricular activities.
I waived my right to view my LORs but I did have an interview for a Committee Letter and I was told that I did well on my interview and that I was memorable. So I'm speculating my LORs are mediocre at the least.

My concerns are cost of attendance and whether I'm wasting my time and money by applying with my stats.

How expensive is it for out of state students? Outside of tuition how much more expensive is the cost of living? Also, is there a chance to apply for CA residency and pay in-state tuition?

If I do decide to apply, should I apply now or should I wait to apply until I get my second DAT scores? The reason I ask is because I've been told that some schools won't re-look at an application after putting it aside the first time.

Also any information about the school it self would be very appreciated. Based on the website, the school seems to be centered on research.

Has most of your answers. I don't necessarily think the current students would be the best to ask these questions.
Do some research, nothing can be spoon-fed to you.

DAT is going to be a road block for you.

I would also imagine that, because of your DAT, your 4.0 GPA is going to make ADCOMs wonder how you scored that GPA (or how legit your classes were).

Yea. I'm really worried about that to all the schools I'm applying to. When I applied to undergrad, I barely got in bc of my SAT scores (490/520/520). That's why I'm wondering if I should apply now or when I get my new scores?

Also I made a mistake when first posting. My oGPA is not 4.0 its 3.96 and my non-sci is 4.0.
