from the info they gave us at the interview, resident tuition is about 25k and nonresident is about 35k. However, instruments and books add on 14k for the first year, but then that cost becomes progressively less during the next 3 years. also you can declare residency after one year if you arent already one.

35K sounds right. that's assuming you buy all the books at full price.
But then you have to add in the cost to buy extra typodont teeth.

tuition is likely to increase for next few years as well.

Ziptree, go back to study. Dont u have 11 midterms next wks?

I've been keeping up. =)

I'm watching TV.

I hope you are wrong about the tuition increase. I thought I heard that the Terminator has put a cap on tuition increases for the time being (at both CSU's and UC's).

Tuition is about $25,000 per year. If I recall correctly, the dental kit is around $15K 1st year, $8K 2nd year, I can't remember buying anything else this year and we don't have anything 4th year.

I sure hope i m wrong.
Even though grad tuition wont increase
the professional student fee might increase.
btw, they dont call tuition at UC. we only have student fees.

the new thing about the dental kit is
our class gets ~1K less than previous classes because they took out some kits that is no longer used, but we still have things that nobody understands why we need to get.

the current 1st year class pays as they gets the kit. so we dont have to store or pay the kit that we dont use till the quarter before.

also, the finance is getting better as well for those who cant pay 10K at 1 time.

so the kit payment is definitely getting a lot better. 👍
