Hi i would want to major (and maybe even get a ph.d OR masters) in a foreign language, lets say FRENCH..my question is other than taking many french courses , can i still take pre-med requisites at UCLA or ANY UC at the same time bc i want to become a doctor?

PS. i don have a problem taking my pre-reqs at my cc, BUT im curious to know if UCLA OR any UC will allow me to do this

Im a German major at ASU, and I'm sure UC schools arent much different. I actually regret taking the German major, because I hate the abstract culture/philosophy courses you have to take while involved in real science. I did it because I was already fluent in German and did not want difficulties other than pre-med in my undergrad. If you want to do it, fine, I have completed pre-med courses plus a few others with no difficulty. (At ASU 45 credits completes the German major, and with 30 credits of general studies, you still have over 30 credits of electives)
My advice: do kinesiology, or if your university has it, do physiology. Its not worth it to do a foreign language if you're already fluent. I cant wait to get into med school to get out of this cultural crap.
My 2 cents.

technically yet,
realistically, not really.
ucla is so impacted nowadays you have the lowest priority before all ucla students (unless you are an enrolled student).

true !! it is impacted but yes i meant as an ENROLLED student may i take these pre med courses
