Does anyone know what percentage of UCLA students specialize? I don't think I have this info in my booklet. I've heard UCLA students do well on national boards. Does anyone have any data, figures, charts, etc.? I'd especially like to know the numbers for Endodontics, Orthodontics and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

Please exclude the numbers for AEGD, GPR, Gov. Services, Public Health, Teaching, undecided. Some schools play tricks with numbers and make it look like 90% of students specialize. For example, one school told me 10 students applied and 9 got accepted to a post-grad program which can be just about anything. Thus, matching rate is 9/10=90%. Now, I really don't have a top choice but I'd like to be able to narrow my list.

Thanks so much.

This might not be the most appropriate place to post, but this is an important link. http://www.dent.ucla.edu/stratplan.pdf
Facing 7 midterms next week and denture the following week,
in additional to killing time that i should be using for studying,
I want to bring awareness to you that UCLA is heading to the direction that we were planning to achieve.

For those of you who havent read it, I suggest you to read it and understand UCLA and what they are trying to do to you once you are here.
