Hey guys,

For those accepted into UCLA. Have you guys received your financial aid? If so, were they mostly loans like I'd expect? Any grants, scholarships? I'm from out of state and they accepted me pretty late (something about never receiving my transcript) but I'm glad to have gotten in.

My financial aid statement was up the day I was accepted (early April), but it was only a provisional statement, called the ePAL. Did you try going to http://www.ursa.ucla.edu ? There should be an ePAL there for you under the financial aid section once you log in. Otherwise, you'll want to call the Financial Aid Office at 310-206-0400.

I got all loans, by the way, plus $2000 in work study. Hopefully there will be some decent grad-level work study out there; we'll see. As for grants/scholarships, once we've started, there should be some out there that are academic-based. So after our first year, if we've done stellar, we might be offered something. Not sure of the particulars yet 😉
