Hey guys I have UCONN interview on December 5th. Does anyone else have the same date PM or leave a message here.

Also I Hate AASDAS, after so many times of making sure that my application was correct they still screw up. The correction hasn't even left the office yet! I have posted elsewhere the full story. Well in short I was surprised UCONN interview invite, since they didn't wait until the corrected AASDAS application and decided to award an interview to a person with 0 GPA:laugh: Literally guys, my standardized application says 0.0 Insted of 3.6! If I knew this I'd spent the 100 Geez NYU tuition on a nice vacation to Hawaii.
Considering they did have my official transcript , LORs DAT scores etc. I am still very happy.

Anybody has the same date at UCONN?
Thanks for reading

I'm interviewing there the next day, let me know how it goes, good luck

Now that's strange dMoney, The secretary at UCONN told me that they interview only on Fridays and Mondays. December 5th is a Friday. Hmm oh well. I'll post my experience right the way but I don't think you'll benefit, it might not be soon enough for you. What I heard is that the interview is pretty raugh and NOT laid back as in many other schools.

I am interviewing december 1st and THAT is a monday!! you gave me a heart attack saying dec 5th was a monday cuz i cant interview on a friday. So double check your stuff balki.

OOPS sorry a typo, December 1st is monday, 5th is a friday! Sorry for that 🙂
I have corrected my post above, thanks snarlytooth

hi balki, I just looked at my calender, you're right man, my interview is on december 5th, I don't know why I thought it's on the 6th, but thanks. I guess you and I have our interview on the same day  , how are you going to get there and where are you going to stay if I may ask. and yeah, I heard that they grill you during the interview...😡 , which kind of annoys me but everybody goes through this so oh well, later

Hey
I am driving from NYC either the morning of 5th, like at 5 am or so
or the night before and staying in a hotel there for a night. I might take the second option, because it's more reasonble. Where are you getting there from? If it's NYC let me know.

Hi!
I will be interviewing at UConn on Nov. 14th.
I am really excited about the interview since UConn seems to be a great school, but I am nervous because I heard that the interview is really stressful.
UConn does not have a secondary application, right?
If you guys have any advice about how to prepare to interview at UConn, please contact me.
Good luck to you all!

.....don't worry about the UConn interview. I'm a second year here and my interview was pretty standard.....not particularly stressful at all. Be prepared though for the old "good cop, bad cop" routine! Some of my classmates had that interview style.....just keep your cool and answer the questions as you've prepared!

Good luck!

Are you serious "bad guy good guy routine?" Man I heard those are used some places. Does anyone have any idea what exactly is the procedure there?

Thanks

hi balki, I'll be coming from baltimore, MD. I think I am going to end up taking a flight (I think I can find a ticket around $130), driving seems a bit crazy to me and it would probably end up costing just as much as the ticket (those tolls on the way to nyc are not cheap man), just wondering, how long does it take to drive from nyc to farmington? did you book any hotel for the night?

i had my UCONN interview about a month ago.

you guys are too nervous about this. just relax. from my experience, i too were nervous in the beggining but once the interview started i felt pretty good.

as long as you know everything about you and what you have written down on your AADSAS then you will be fine. i was interviwed by 2 people. one was just asking questions that were straight up easy while the other one was asking the thougher questions. just relax. trust me the answeres will come to you when you are asked.

good luck!

Well it should be abut 130 miles away from NYC. So I am anticipating about 2-3 hr drive at least. I-95 can be a mess with constructions all over. I drove to Storrs Campus quite often and it took me 3 hr, Farmigton is closer to NYC. Besides with my little civic all I'll spend on Gas is 15 bucks. But I geuss you'll need to take the plain. So you plan arriving one night earllier? I'll have to look up hotels near by Uconn, their website has addresses of hotels near by.
Ok good luck budy

hi balki, can you let me know if you'll find a good deal on a room nearby that is pretty reasonable with the price, i'll do the same if i'll find any good deal, thanks

My UConn interview was really laid back. We just talked about the school- curriculum, students, farmington, etc. They didn't even ask "why dentistry"! It was weird, though, because people who came out before me (I was interviewed last) were saying how tough it was. Maybe they were trying to make me nervous? By that point (it was really late), I was too exhausted to be nervous, so it didn't really matter. So that was my experience- hope that helps and good luck!

Balki- the "procedure" is that 2 people interview you at once. I guess your experience will depend on who you get.

Thank you for the support!!
By the way, do you know what your chances of acceptance are if you are an out-of-state student applying to UConn?
What about living in Farmington, CT?
Please let me know what you guys think!
