UCONN program

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Yep--I'm in it now. Per year 300+ people usually apply in the spring and around 12 are accepted. There was only one addition to the group for this spring semester out of those who applied in the fall.

It's a stellar program and I'm happy to answer any questions you might have. You can also do a search on some of my past posts for things I've already written about it. 🙂

so are you saying there are only 12 students in the program... 12/300...

so there was 1 person accepted this spring...do you know how many apps were considered...

I applied this spring and got negged...but I am not all that devastated as I really think UConn's program is overrated. let it be known that I am more interested in dental rather than med school....

No. There are two application cycles per year. The majority of people apply in the spring to begin in the following fall semester. This is when 12 or so are accepted out of 20 or so interviewees and 300 or so applicants. There are less people that apply in the fall to begin in the spring semester. I don't know how many applied this past fall, but only one joined the program. Right now I believe there is only one of us who is a pre-dental student.
