I've read most of the threads about these schools, some of which are old. That being said, I want your opinion regarding the good, the bad, and the ugly at each. I've been accepted to both and, because of UConn's policy of granting in-state tuition by year two, the cost will be so incidentally similar that it is not a factor.

I want to be happy and UConn is my top choice. The quality of life related rumors scare me, though, and I want honest appraisals. For example, I have heard some argue that UMDNJ is better clinically - how much better? Thanks, all!

These two schools are exactly the same in every sense of the word. No difference between them at all. The buildings, operatories, faculty- everything is exactly the same. One is further north than the other.

Care to elaborate, or is this sarcasm? I honestly can't tell... 😕

I cant say much about NJ, except I think it is graded while UConn is P/F.
Personally that is a huge difference, i seriously do not know how people survive a graded dental school...kudos to them.
Also, UConn is great if you think you will like the medical curriculum which helps a lot during boards.
If i would be you, I would just take UConn based on P/F..THAT IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE!!
