I am a CT resident and I am hoping to go to UConn dental school in the future. How much easier is it to get into UConn Dental School in-state? I was wondering what in-state admissions to UConn is like. Does anybody know the applied instate vs accepted instate? Also, if anybody is from Connecticut and got into UConn dental school, could you please post you stats (or if you have friends who were like that). I appreciate your help!

Hey Joe....
I am a MA resident. I will be joining UCONN dental coming fall. I know that, acceptance letters to ten UCONN residents were sent out early december. Considering, only 40 seats are available, ten is quite a big fraction. I am sure they have sent out more since december. So, to answer your question, the school definitely gives preference to UCONN residents. Just keep up your grades and do well on the DAT, especially in the science section. The assistant dean during our interview told us that you need around 19 on science to get their attention. Don't worry too much about the PAT.
I hope this helps. By the way, you can get more info about the stats if you go to UCONN dental home page...look under "frequently asked questions".
