If you were to get an interview for UCSD in March/late March, are you essentially interviewing for a spot on the waitlist? Or do you have the same chance of getting accepted as you would if you interview in January?

last year, the last round of acceptances (not previously waitlisted) they gave out without being waitlisted first was in mid-april, i think
