when was your file complete?

i was complete on sept 5th i believe...so waited like a month to get the very very happy email =)

thanks envelope- and congratulations!

i was complete on 8/22 so its time to get down on my knees and pray i guess.

after visiting UCSD, i'm not sure how i could possibly choose between the two if i were accepted at both.

good luck!

I'm so jealous. My boyfriend was also invited to UCSF for the MD and JMP also....The only UCs I have heard back from are UCI and UCSD for interviews. This is an amazing accomplishment. Can I trade Yale, Duke, or Columbia with you? Just kidding!

I would kill for an SF interview! I would die if i got into SF! Well... Congrats and best wishes!

Last year, I was complete in early september for UCSF, and I didn't interview until February (I also didn't get in). I think what they do is that if they can't decide whether to offer you an interview the first time they review your file, they put back in the pile and look at it again within the context of the next bunch of apps. Anyhow, good luck!

by complete do we mean when our secondary application was received? and also, are you out of state envelope?

congrats anyway, and good luck.

When we say complete, we mean our application and all supporting materials were received and that the application was given to the committee for review.

complete means you submitted your secondary and they received it and they have all your letters of recs.

i'm cali resident btw.

have faith everyone...it's still early in this whole process =)

My UCSF interview is in 2 weeks. My file was complete on September 12. I'm an out of stater, and SF is the only UC that I applied to.

CONGRATS!!! I know how you feel!!! EXCELLENT!!!! Good luck on the interview!!

Congrats on UCSF Interview. Best School in the Nation for the Price. Good Luck.

I believe that honor may belong to Baylor.

I'm not going to let the cat out of the bag, but Baylor is quite affordable for a few of their students.

So how many thousands of secondary applications is UCSF receiving?
I thought they only sent secondaries to a relatively small number of people ( compared to the number that applied through AMCAS).

I live like 20 minutes from UCSF and I called to see if my application was received ( sent it in 2 weeks ago) and the answer was that they are processing thousands of applications every day.

Isn't this a little bit exagerated? How can they even process thousands of applications every day?

it says on their website that they only send out around 1400 secondaries... so saying they go through "thousands" of apps each day is ridiculously wrong. 😀
