Does anyone know what the deal is with being on hold for an interview at UCSF? As in, what chances do i have of ever being interviewed/accepted? Thanks.

well they are a highly competitive place to get into and if you held for an interview.... signs dont seem too good.
but until you get a rejection letter, keep some faith.
in the meantime kick ass on all your other interviews.

I just got my first rejection from UCSF before even getting an interview. I am just curious to what your stats are that they put you on hold. i guess the first one always hurts.

Yes, I too was just put on hold last week, and honestly don't know what to make of it. I'm an out-of-stater, so that probably is a major part of it.
I guess we should just take this with a grain of salt........if you go to a thread called "questions about UCSF?", I posted my story, and got some good feed back, even though it really is up in the air. Good luck to you all!
