is there an essay question in the ucsf secondary? some people tell me you only need to answer the essay question if you've been designated as a disadvantaged applicant by amcas and some say everyone has to answer it... who's right?

There's no essay on the UCSF secondary. Maybe there's something if you're a disadvantaged applicant (I don't remember) but, if you're not, there's no essay.

no essay for the regular MD applicant. But if you want to apply for the UCSF berkeley joint program, then there is one essay.
