For the UCSF supplemental application, the Dental Prerequisites table has a column for: IP or Planned
What is that exactly? What do we put in that column?

It means exactly that. If a course is currently underway or in the future, mark accordingly... IP (in progress) or planned
 
The directions for the Dental Prerequisites reads:
3. You must use the forms provided and your replies must fit in the space provided. Do not include any additional
materials or pages unless the instructions on that form indicate this is allowed. Any such materials received will​
be discarded and will not be included in your application folder.

However, some of the course numbers for my classes do not fit in the space provided.... what should i do? type out some of it and complete the rest of the course number by hand after printing it?

Just type in the course numbers only (I called and this is what they suggested), or first letter of class, then course number (ie, B 3301)
