Just wanted to get a sense of people's takes on these programs- im thinking subspecialty but open to primary care as well. - and ultimately, what order would you rank these three programs?
my gen thoughts on each:
UCSF: prob best rep academically of the 3, multi site (+diversity of training, - less resident cohesion/some isolation), diverse and talented residents, some flux with program leadership, great location, residents seemed to be a little exhausted and more on the independent do their own kinda thing types
CHO: has a rep of being more "community", good rep but prob weakest of 3 in terms of academic rep, residents seemed pretty happy, good location, underserved pop (seen at sfgh and olive view too but really focus on that here), stand alone childrens hospital
UCLA: tri campus with diverse pt pop, amazing new hospital, happy residents (maybe more protected/less exhuasted than those at sf), la traffic sucks- esp getting to olive view, good academic rep (prob <sf but >CHO), "nicer" area of LA
im having difficulty coming up with a good order for these and would love any thoughts. thanks!
