Between these two general surgery residency programs, which one is harder to get into? Also, does UCSF require more research experience than UCSF-East Bay because UCSF is an academic program and UCSF-East Bay is a community program or is research valued equally by both? Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

No, neither has any history of taking DOs. Both programs have a Current Resident list posted on-line and there are no DOs listed.
