I got to UC Berkeley and for my Mollecular Cell biology major, I took 1 semester of General Chemistry, and 2 semesters of Organic Chemistry. But the UCSF requires 2 semester of Inorganic Chemistry and 1 semester of Organic Chemistry...Is there any way I can bypass this? Any cal bears know?

In addition, can you use AP credit for the psychology requirement and for the Biology requirement? UC Berkeley accepted both of my AP credits and I am an MCB Major.

thanks all

This comes up every app cycle. I don't know why Cal just doesn't inform people better, but then again, I'm not surprised. Anyway, according to the career center, all schools should be aware of the chem sequence. If there is a problem, I think they can write you a letter. You just have to make sure if you take chem 1a, you also take chem 3a, 3b, and either mcb 100 or 102. Otherwise, if you take chem 1a and chem 1b, then you have to take chem 112a/b instead of 3a/3b.

I was an MCB major, took chem 1a, 3a, 3b, and mcb 100. Never had any trouble during the app process.
