For those who got interview pre-december last year at UDM,
did anyone get in the waiting list but not get the acceptance?

Yep! I got the email last week. Not too disappointed by it, as I had an interview there 4 days after being told I didn't make it off the waiting list this year. Second times the charm!

Could you tell me when you had the interview last year?
