UF - Anyone NOT Get a Secondary Application Offer and Just Rejection?

I've heard that many people are getting supplemental secondary application invitations and even interviews from University of Florida.

Has anyone been rejected from UF before receiving a supplemental application invitation?

I'm just curious, because it seems like a good revenue generator for UF to just have people submit the secondary with a fee whether competitive or severely uncompetitive.

I personally just got a secondary application invite; but I did not receive an interview invitation.

I personally just got a secondary application invite; but I did not receive an interview invitation.

I was rejected last cycle before getting the secondary, so it's possible.

I dont understand how some people already got interviews when in my email they stated "it is required for you to fill out this secondary application before we can make a decision regarding interview invites"

I got a beef with them from last year when I applied. They flat out turned me down because I started a post-bacc, as a safety net, that I wouldn't be able to finish if I got in for c/o 2014. UF said that they wouldn't pull me from that program to enter theirs. WASTE

I sure does take a while... And it seems they want it completely different from the AADSAS PS.

I think it's a very important supplemental statement, but it's really tough for me to write it. 🙄

I was asked to submit a supplemental application and it took me about a week to actually finish the essay since I was taking a lot of classes too. But once I submitted it, I was invited for an interview about a week after. Just be patient guys.

But when my sister applied 3 years ago, she got the supplemental application AND her interview at the same time.

So it varies...

did you submit the optional forms with it? I got a call from UF today and they kinda hinted that although the forms are optional they are of somewhat importance............

I had the optional forms submitted about 2 weeks ago by the people I chose.

Yes we are both Florida residents. On my AADSAS, for UF my status is "received under review" and there's also a note that said this year the admissions process is going to take longer than last years... So maybe that's why you haven't heard anything yet.

My AADSAS indicates the same.

Did those receiving secondaries/interviews for UF, first receive an e-mail saying your app was received and to notify them if they needed to wait to review it for new DAT scores?

yes, I got app complete, then interview a few days later.
