I just received an e-mail with my acceptance to the UF DPT program and was wondering if anyone else has heard back from them as well =]

Hey! I was accepted last week for UF's 2016 class! I am so excited to meet some of my future classmates! Do you happen to know if there is a facebook page yet for our class to get together to discuss potential questions?

I am still waiting to get my official letter, but was thrilled when i received my email! 🙂

Hi, if you dont mind me asking...what are your stats? I am still waiting to hear back. I am attending the open house this friday. I have made major attempts to show my strong interest in the program by having many phone conversations with the admissions coordinator and even talked to some of the staff who work for the company I currently work for, brooks rehab, as a rehab tech. My stats are not perfect but I think my experience is what carries my app. and I know UF looks for applicants with a lot of experience.
 
i don't know of any facebook page yet, but i really want to start meeting our new class. I also need to figure out where to live =/

My stats:
GPA: 3.75
pre-req GPA: 3.6
Hours: 250
GRE: 301 W: 4.0

Let me know if a facebook page ever pops up for the new class 🙂

Hey, I went to UF for my bachelors so if you need any advice on where to live I can probably give some suggestions.
 
its not so much that I need help finding a place it's that I need to find the people to live with =/
 
i am also trying to figure out the room mate situation for next year. i am a current student at UF, but i would like to live with someone in the program. usually the current dpt students set up a group page on facebook, but i haven't seen one for 2016 yet (since admissions can't technically release a class list until everything is finalized due to confidentiality).
 
I'm accepted at UF too! And I've also heard we have to wait for the upper class to set up our Facebook group. I already know where I'm living since I'm here for undergrad too so I can also be a 'places to live' reference 🙂

I applied late september/early october, but my application was finally processed and forwarded to the committee in mid to late october.
 
I was recently acceped to UF DPT Class of 2016 also! I'm in the same situation looking to meet people in my class to find a roommate so I hope they make a facebook group soon! Looking forward to meeting everyone 🙂

For those recently accepted would you mind sharing when your application was received by UF? I got a notification email from UF early December saying my application was complete, but have not heard from them yet in regards to acceptance.
 
I just got my acceptance letter for UF's DPT program today! I let out a little shriek in my chem lab when I got the email. I was totally freaking out thinking that I wouldn't get in because I applied too close to the deadline. But I did! I can't wait to meet all of you guys! I am so, so, so excited! :laugh:😳🙂
 
Same. I got an e-mail in December saying they have received all my materials and my application was under review. Are they saving all the rejections for last? 🙁

I think it's the opposite. I think that if you haven't heard back yet they may still be reviewing your application. When did you apply?
 
I submitted my application one of the last few days before it was due and received an e-mail of confirmation of them receiving my application mid December.
 
Yeah, I submitted mine like 2 weeks before the deadline. Like I said, I was freaking out because I hadn't heard anything back and it was getting to be late but I just heard back today. I wouldn't lose hope yet. I actually emailed the admissions coordinator because I was so stressed about it. Maybe that would help.
 
My application was mailed early October. I also received the email confirming they received all required documents. It also said they made decisions from January to April. I'm starting to stress though. Who did you email? Amy? What'd you ask? I'm thinking of sending one soon to check in.
 
Thank you so much! I was in the same boat as you like 6 hours ago. I know the stress! I was loosing sleep big time. Yes, I emailed Amy. She replied this morning and said that the admissions board had not made a final decision about my app yet but that they will very shortly. Then around 5 pm today I got an acceptance email.
 
Just got my acceptance letter to UF yesterday afternoon!! I'm so excited to get out of Indiana and head down to Gainesville. Looking forward to meeting everyone soon!
 
Can anyone who was accepted post their stats ?!

This is a thread from people accepted three years ago. I don't know that their stats will be relevant to you.
