I sent my application really early May 17th, took my DAT on August and finish my secondary about 2 weeks ago. My DAT and GPA are in my predents profile, also check the advertisement in that website is really cool 😉

I submitted my secondary application before 2 weeks as well but i still have not heard anything from them 🙁 UF is my # 1 choice as well ....uhh!!!!

Congrats!!!! I was there this last Friday and it wasn't as bad as everyone makes the interview out to be! They were actually super nice to me 🙂 When is your interview? Have fun!

Thanks for you message my interview is on Nov. 12th. So the interview is not as bad as they make it be in the feedback at sdn???

if anyone has it that day, contact me 😀😀

No bad at all! My one friend had her interview in August and she told me they grilled her...asking crazy questions and any answer she had, they'd just pose another harder question back at her. She even said they were expressionless - no nodding or smiling. For me, my interviewers were amazing! We joked a lot about some of my experiences. They were friendly, smiled, and asked me all questions straight from my application. They even commented about a story in my personal statement...it made me feel good they read it 🙂 It was an all-around great experience!

Oh and one more thing...our student interviewer even let us use her drill and drill some of the teeth on her model! Way awesome!! Have a marvelous time.

I think you're a liar, sent from UF to make people relax so they can have more fun crushing people during interviews.

Why do you say that? Did you have a bad experience at UF?

My experience was similar to this. It was hard to read my interviewers' reactions. You had a great, more laid-back experience because of your stellar stats and package. For the most part, applicants usually say that their experience is intimidating. I agree w/ that statement. My experience at UNC was completely different and much more positive. I felt like I was truely appreciated and welcomed into a "family". However, the UF students giving the tour were much more knowledgable and sociable than the D1 students at UNC. I got lucky and the UNC Hispanic Dental Assoc. took me around campus and answered any extra questions I had. All-n-all, both schools are great.

haha Mamona don't worry I know him and he was just being stupid to me. He's never been to UF, no worries. He was actually someone who called me non-stop to see how my interview went 😉 Mossy go back to your med apps and leave us pre-dents alone! Now I'm not helping you with your project mister...

Congrats on the interview! I just finished my secondary last week, so they should have gotten it this week. Hopefully I'll be hearing back from them, but my odds aren't stellar.

Anyway, have fun! And I have a friend who interviewed earlier in the cycle. He said the interview was "alright," so don't worry too much.

Most of these pre-dent kids have never faced an ounce of rejection in their life, so a board of 3 people not showing them their pearly whites scares the crap out of them.

Hey just got an interview for UF, where is everyone staying? Are you flying in ? I'm leavign from MIami, might fly but too expensive, might just rent a car instead

She is lying once again. You must not ever trust anyone with a name like Optimism Smiles. You'll regret it if you do.

I know I am gonna have to answer some serious questions regarding my grade downfalls in junior yr:laugh: Dr. Mattson uhh!!!😡 Good luck!

Thank you Mstoothlady I am wonder why do they do that????
We have some potential to be called to an interview, so why they want to make you feel like you are not good enough for their school??? It wouldn't be easy just to send a rejection letter instead of going through all this....Sometimes it doesn't make sense!!!!

i don't know what you guys are talking about, my interview was really good. Yea 2 of the interviewers showed no emotion, but it was a pretty chill interview. They really didn't ask me any hard questions. I suggest looking at the interview forum in sdn, they asked some of those questions. Good Luck

Thank you rok917 for your words, I am a very possitive person, but you know you hear all type of experience and stories here and I just want to get prepare for evertything that can happen!!!

Yo, relax buddy. Don't make general assumptions like you know what "pre-dent kids" have gone through or any rejections they've experienced. I shared an honest experience comparing 2 different schools. UF was a more serious and intimate (interview performed in a close circular arrangement of chairs) environment. That's why I said it could be "intimidating". For me, it was my first interview and I was nervous as $%@!. One interviewer had facial responses while the other 2 would give WSOP champs a run for their money in a poker face competition... jk Anyways, more importantly, Mamona, you will be fine. Just be yourself and answer every question honestly. You will find the students, staff, & facilities all to be very pleasing. Just stay positive throughout. Good luck!

Sorry if I offended you, MiamiNole, but please recall that I did say MOST pre-dental kids. Yes, I called them (not you) kids because I have heard many, many uber-rich, academically gifted applicants with daddy dentists walk away in tears from the stresses of interviewing.

I in no way meant to demean your experience, in particular, or anyone's, for that matter.

That said, Go Gators!! 😀

Thank you guys for all your inputs I am very excited and nervous at the same time because I really, really want to go to UF !!!!

How sweet 🙂 Umm buddy...I just realized we were there on the same day!! Small world!
