It's finally here, and early! I'm so excited for my interview. So we are all ready here are some questions I remember from last year.

What are your strengths and weaknesses
Why do u want to be a vet
A few scenario questions, what would you do if etc....
How do u study
If a member of your team at work did this, what would you do
What do you think would be the hardest thing about vet school

That's all I can recall, please bounce moreninterview questions from the past

How do you handle stress
Also, I usually get one question asking about a current event related to my field of interest (for me it has been about horse slaughter)

Stress, I do remember that now. I got one related tonhorse death and the other last year was related to the killer whale that killed a person. How do I handle stress, hmmmm 🙄

In the other thread, it sounded like UF has behavioral interviews? Has this changed? It seems as thought some of the above questions are behavioral, but not all of them.

I do believe UF has behavioral interviews. Last years questions were 50/50. A few behavior what would u do in this type of situation types and also others types of questions. I remember now that they also asked what type of animal would you like to be. What are your most valued accomplishments. Etc..

Does UF do the scoring with the behavioral interviews like Minnesota does? Or do the interviewers just recommend you or not recommend you like other places do?

If you could be reincarnated as any animal, which animal would you choose and why? Describe 3 qualities of said animal.

Describe a time that you failed at something. Describe one of your accomplishments.

Three of your strengths, three of your weaknesses....

They also asked me about the whale that had killed 3 people....

How do you handle stress?

Describe a time that you had a conflict with someone else and what happened.

Give an example of a goal you had and how you achieved it.

Uh one year they asked me what cartoon character I would be if I was a cartoon character. I thought that was just the hardest question, haha. My mind always draws blanks on questions like those. I think that was just supposed to relieve tension maybe? I have interviewed twice there. Hopefully third time is the charm!

I do not think it is as simple as your interviewers just recommending you or not, I was under the impression your interviewers meet up with the group who read your application in the week or so following your interview. Then applicants are ranked. Not sure how it works other than that, but hope that helped a little. And I could be wrong, but thats the way they kind of explained it to me last year. 🙂
