What does everyone know about these campuses? How do the programs work? I've heard that the classes are online, and then you have to be on campus a couple days a week for discussion group/exams. Is this true?

I'd love to know more! Thanks!

I''ll be attending the St. Petersburg campus this fall. Lectures are video taped in Gainesville, digitized and available on-line two hours later. All students can watch the lectures on-line, download handouts, overheads, etc. Distance learners can go to Gainesville, if they prefer to sit in a lecture hall.

All labs, practicums, exams, review sessions, and group projects are handled at the remote campus. During the 1st year, you will need to be on campus 2-3 times per week, but it will increase to 5 days per week as you move on in the program. That is because there are less lectures and more hands-on classes as you progress.

UF has staff at all the distance learning campuses.

They hold an open house every fall, I believe. Check the UF webpage for the dates.

You can PM me if you have any specific questions.
