They got rid of the essay a few years back, it's just an agreement on if you get in you agree to allow them to do a back ground check. Plus the application fee

Interesting. Is that common? I guess they figured they weren't learning much from it.
 
Lol too be honest it sounded like they were over reading a lot of personal statements and don't want to read more.

I guess they figured a personal statement was enough. Reading essays is probably the worst part about being on an adcom lol.
 
It is mostly a update for dental related experience since your application got submitted. Nothing to worry about
