UF supplemental before interview

I received an email from UF today saying that I need to fill out their supplemental application before I can be considered for an interview. However, I'm a Florida resident. I thought it is required only after they offer you an interview. So, is it just me?

i applied last year and received an interview RIGHT after i submitted my secondaries and dentist signatures. there was one person who posted on SDN that they got an interview and THEN the secondary...but i think that is rare. my other friends and i went thru the same thing u are going thru now.

That's weird. I have an interview at UF next month and I haven't finished the secondary yet. They sent me the secondary app when they invited me for an interview. That is strange.
