I'm actually excited for two reasons: the BJ Penn / Sanchez fight could end up being one of the best fights in some time AND I am done with school so I can enjoy watching the UFC on my birthday. Oh, and I have a DD.

Penn vs Sanchez - I think if both are at their peak, it will make for an amazing fight. In terms of personality, I 've always liked Penn and hated Sanchez, but when it comes to fight ability, I painfully give the fight to Sanchez. Good luck Penn.

Frank Mir vs Check Kongo - I would love to see Kongo pull out a sensational KO but Mir will take him down and submit him.

KenFlo vs Guida - Now this could be the best fight of the night. KenFlo is pretty well balanced striking and grappling and Guida is a freak with a chin. I think if Guida can finish early, he can win but if the fight goes several rounds, I give it to KenFlo.

I like Kongo(needs a ground game but is a standup expert) over Frank Mir(Mir is a cocky bastard and always talks about himself like he won his last fight), I have always thought diego sanchez was over-rated BJ Penn will beat him, the rest blah blah blah.

BJ is one tough SOB.. he can bend like a pretzel and his conditioning is awsome. Diego is younger... and a pretty awsome with his brazilian jujitsu, but BJ's is better.

I'd really like to see Lesner get knocked out. His attitude is not deserving of ultimate bad ass. Unfortunately.. the guy is a tank and I think he'll be there for a while. You see Mir's face when he was done with him the second time? The guy is a tank.

bj is gonna finish him come 3rd round just bc sanchez is crazy doesnt make him at bjs level.
and im pumped about seeing the new mir at 265lbs!! hes basically modeling all his training/physique to beat lesnar.
johny hendriks is fighting too.. even if on the prelims hes a really good upncomer.
finally a card i decent card!

IDK but I thought Roy was easily the most experienced and the favorite to win the TUF so I wasn't surprised. BTW cant wait to see the penn vs Sanchez fight. War penn

I am actually quite happy that I was wrong. Welcome back Mr. Penn, we've missed you for about 7 years.

You clearly havent watched any of his fights over the last two years. BJ has been dominating at LW!!! He goes up to WW to actually test himself.

Id like to see him get on the Frank Mir plan and add 20lbs of muscle then make a move to WW. Maybe Fitch would be a good first victim!!

I have watched his recent fights but he never seemed as dominating against top-notch opponents like he did back in the day before the UFC temporarily disbanded the lightweight division...until tonight.

It made me think that there is a small chance that everything will eventually be right in the world...unless he goes up to 170 to fight GSP again.

He should go up to 170. And GSP should go to 185. There is no competition at their current respective weight classes. They just need to do it right.

Honestly, I like Penn where he is at. It seems like he performs much better at 155 and sacrifices too much, especially in the later rounds, when he goes up to 170.

I do think Sanchez, as annoying as he is, should go back up to 170. He needs to have that extra strength to dominate his opponents because that is his fighting style. Last night, it looked like early on the strength level was fairly equal and then BJ was able to dominate later. Sanchez doesn't handle that well and he honestly looked afraid towards the end, which was quite amazing.

After all, crazy MOFO's usually don't look afraid.

Not sure about GSP going up to 185 but I would love it if Silva stayed at 205.

Gosh, we sound like a bunch of fanboys.

I was at the fights and it was awesome! From the prelims on, a lot of good fights. BJ is a badass at 155, I don't know who they have left for him in that divison. They need to get Shinya Aoki, Eddie Alvarez, Jesus Calvacante and Joachim Hansen to challenge him.

they need to bring aldo from the wec for bj! or bj can drop down to 145 to fight him or urijah. Aoki has no way to beat bj..
i definitely dont want to see bj fight ****ty ass gray maynard.
and mir looked sick!! hes gonna clean out the division even if lesnar doesnt come back.

I want to see the rematch of BJ Penn vs. GSP

If they can match the weight...BJ has gotten a lot better.

Mir did look good, although Congo is overrated in my opinion (aside from the dude's unbelievable physique). But I think Mir still has trouble with Lesnar if/when they meet again.

Did you guys watch the Ultimate Fighter this season? I couldn't believe that "Big Country" fat f*ck won. I know he had the most experience, but even Dana White looked embarrassed to have to give him a contract in the UFC. Rashad Evans was shocked too. It just goes to show you, looks aren't everything. I thought that finale was awesome...

Our traditional reasoning would have predicted a Big Country win, but I have to admit that I thought he'd get beat. As I've said before, I think the future of the heavyweight division includes a lot of Lesnar-sized guys with NFL-type speed. Unfortunately, most of these guys are just now picking up MMA as a hobby, and have big holes in their games. Imagine someone who is 6'6", walks around at 280 lbs of muscle, has NFL-level speed, and has been training BJJ his whole life like Mir.

That's because "top notch oppponents" 8 or 9 years ago were guys like Caol Uno and Din Thomas. The reason he's not as dominant is because the talent in the 155 lb division has improved markedly. That being said, he's still extremely dominant. He's murdered Sherk, Stevenson, Florian, and now Sanchez....I'm not sure what else you want from him. The only thing I want from him is for him to stop licking the blood off his gloves.

GSP wins that fight 9 times out of 10. He is too big and too athletic. Honestly, they're probably 1 and 2 on the top 10 pound for pound list. BJ hasn't gotten a lot better.....his cardio is better, that's all. He's always been this good.
