Ugh

I was spending time ranking all my backup programs and shuffling them around, and for the past day or so I've been fine. Then all of a sudden today, my resident reminds me that if I have ANY reservations about my top choice or any program, to pay attention. I do have reservations about my #1 simply because the residents work pretty darn hard, and it can be intimidating. It's easy for me to see all of the downsides of your home institution, especially since I didn't do any aways. I REALLY liked my #2 choice, but it's on the other side of the country in a cold place that is unfamiliar, and my fiancee would have to find another job etc....

Right now I am keeping things as is, realizing that I am choosing to go to a hard working program to keep peace at home and to be near my family. I am not losing anything in terms of training, since both places are excellent choices. Hope to end up at one of these two places....

I'm not touching the list again....at least that's what I tell myself right now...

Yeah, I went through all the compromise this and compromise that but with the backups its very hard. The first 7-8 are pretty much set in stone for me.
