If it's any comfort. I have very worn teeth(used to brush too hard). That usually leads to cavities galore.

i know of a resident that performed RCT on himself...

I read a story of a dentist who tried to do a procedure on himself look at the restroom mirror. Forget what the procedure was but when he tried to inject himself something(novacaine??) he inadvertently hit a vein or an artery. He ended up dead from oxygen deprivation. Really pathetic when you consider that his staff several minutes later noticed he had "disappeared" and it took them a few minutes to find him lying on the restroom floor all purple on his face.

I imagine it'd be pretty difficult to aspirate an injection on yourself.

Sounds kinda fishy to me. Why wouldn't he just grab his hygienist??? But some people really ARE that stupid. 🙄
