am I going to have to know how to multiply things by Avogadro's number, and am I going
How many moles are in 9.52 g of MgCl2?
Am I really going to have to know how to do this on the DAT?: "9.52/95.21" = 0.10 mol of MgCl2
???

also...am i supposed to be able to do percent compositions?
one in Kaplan BB is: What is the percent composition of chromium in K2Cr2O7? I can add the atomic weights to get the formula weight of K2Cr2O7...but I can't do this calculation in my head: (104 gmol/294 gmol)x100% I can infer that the answer will be around 33%, but ...I don't know if the answers on the DAT will give me choices like : 32%,33%,34%,35% ....hopefully the DAT will have pervade the answer choices out a bit.
If someone could let me know if I'm supposed to be able to do this, or if someone could show me how to do this in my head, you would be much appreciated.

Haha yea you will, but it's very simple. Like you said (104/294) will be around (1/3 or 33%). It's estimation. You will be fine. There is nothing you can't do in seconds in your head. Just learn the estimation methods in your study materials
