UIC essay...

Yep, anther UIC question... This secondary is giving me hives! Between weird formatting issues and it's length, it's the most annoying I've had so far. So anyway, one of the questions is as follows: Describe any advantages and/or complications you encountered during your progression in education. Please include any noteworthy achievements and/or obstacles. (Examples: Acute or chronic illnesses, employment, financial difficulty, managerial role in household, etc.)

Does anyone else find this to be kind of an odd question? Did they mean to say "Please include any DISadvantages and/or complications..." ? Especially considering the fact that their examples are all disadvantages, not advantages... Just wondering. Also, anyone know if this essay is required? Usually the "describe your disadvantage" one's aren't (if that's even what this is)... Thanks! 🙂

Good Qs. That entire last section is optional. I think you can write on just about whatever you want for that last essay. Notice that "their examples" also includes "noteworthy achievements" in addition to "advantages." So you can discuss troubles that you've conquered or use the space to present some honors in your life.

Btw, unprotecting the word doc might help you with the formatting issues.
