Hi there,

This is a senior high school student, was offered UIC GPPA and NW. I have searched out the Pros and Cons of GPPA, and sounds like UIC GPPA will be a better choice considering its cost and a guaranteed seat for the medical school. But thinking about the reputation and resources of NW, I'm still stuck. I would appreciate any input, and hope it will help me move on, thanks a lot

You didn’t provide enough info about the UIC GPPA program.
What are the requiremeets for the student to stay on track for the guaranteed MD admission, and how many total users?

UIC undergrad is about half the cost of NU and alone will save you $150K.
UIC med school won’t save as much as you think, it isn’t as inexpensive as it appears at first glance, there are summer tuition requirements that significantly add to cost the first couple of years that aren’t included in that first glance cost.
If only a 3.6 gpa level required, and no MCAT score more mandatory volunteering, it is a huge burden removed from the pursuit of Med School Acceptance.
However, if you need to get a certain MCAT score which implies you need to do all the studying, and they require ECs etc, they should are positions yourself anyway to play the field. NU undergrad is known to be quite competitive for premeds to achieve necessary gap’s for their application.
