Hi!
By now many students should have scheduled interviews at UIC. Mine is on the July 8, 2015.
Please share your experience or what you have learned about it. I will let you ways know about mine when the time comes.

I did my UIC online application and uploaded all documents before I finished CAAPID.
After I submitted CAAPID, it took about a week for the completion email, and 5 more days to receive the Interview invitation.
Completion: June 12th/15
IV invitation: June 17th/15

I spoke yesterday with someone who graduated at UIC. She told me she submitted her documents on the last day. let's be positive!!! Let's think we are already classmates Dr. Bindaas ! 😉

Some academic awards in the US and Foreign school
Dental Assistant for 2 years (US)

Yes. If you have an interview at UIC, do not stress out over it. For me, It was a nice opportunity to talk with the faculty and learn from other applicants and their experience.

I have heard that and all the applicants in the interview day had part 2 also.

Dr heart good to know that your iv went well and stress free. can you tell us in detail what kinda questions they ask you and any other activity they ask you to do apart from iv. Thanx in advance.

They said they will start sending acceptance letters in August.

Stl13 do you know about acceptances......have they filled all 52 seats or not yet...is there still hope for students waiting for IV call or only waiting list students have a chance.

I actually have no idea if all the seats are fill or not. I was waitlisted 8/26 and accepted 8/31.

Do you think it is too late to start with CAAPID application for UIC? I have 20 days to fill the application send all my transcripts... Also I have NBDE 1 and 2, 5 yrs of DA, numerous CE credits, volunteering experience and/but only 86 of TOEFL ( I do think my english is very good). I just have no more time to redo the TOEFL. Is it worth to try to apply this year? Or should I raise my score for TOEFL and try next year?

Angelina, your stats are very good... Don't give up yet, you have worked so hard and it shows in your experience. Please apply. Also, as your English is good increase your toefl... Use latest IBT material, toefl has changed a bit from past and is even more difficult now. Then update your score in your UIC application ASAP.

Angelina, Honestly u have great stats but yes specially for UIC u need to improve ur score since there average score last year and since few years has been over 100! I dont want to discourage you in applying but i know UIC is very very particular about toefl score over 100

I wouldn't think that this matters at all.. Why should it? Maybe I don't know smh? I thought its just pass or fail, so once you pass its pass.. 🙂

From the info i know, some of the students who were accepted had lower toefl score than you and got accepted!!! YOUR stats are great but another plus would be if you are hispanic!!!! you are sure to get in!!! All the best and relax!!!
