UIC vs. Marquette

I’ve fortunately been accepted to both schools, but am having an extremely difficult time deciding between the two ... any opinions?

I am assuming instate for UIC, and out of state for Marquette? What's the price difference these days?

I am having the same dilemma! The tuition at both schools are very similar and not a decision maker in my mind. Without a doubt, Marquette has some of the nicest facilities I've seen at any dental school and I truly felt at home there. On the other hand, Chicago is where I want to be and where I'd like to practice in the future which is what is deterring me from Marquette at the moment. Any other advice on how to make this decision??

No opinion on UIC,

but my impressions of Marquette are: the best facility, most friendly fellow interviewees, extremely early clinical exposure, professors that were proud of the school and seemed very genuine, the most laid back students and good cost of living in the area. I will be attending Marquette and had offers to some very good programs, but just felt so at home there.

Both schools have similar surrounding neighborhoods. Marq has better facilities and instructors. UIC lost many instructors to Midwestern-ILL.

Both great clinical schools with plenty of patients. I think your decision should be based on where you would be happiest. Do you have friends in either cities, prefer one over the other, proximity to family? If I were the one picking, I would choose Marquette because I have many friends in Milwaukee and like the more reasonably priced entertainment and living expenses, and less traffic.

I am making the same decision right now. Looking for advice. where did you end up attending and why???
