I never thought I would in this position but I need your help guys between these two schools. I got my acceptance letter this morning from NYU with an offer for $25K in scholarship per year renewable for the duration of four years as long as I maintain a 2.0 gpa; I think this brings down NYU total costs down to $205,000 upon graduation. I also got accepted to my state school, University of Illinois at Chicago and was offered a graduate assistantship, which means I put in 10 hours per week and I get my tuition waived and also get paid $667 per month in stipend; 10 hours put in could involve anything from representing the school at conferences to making phone calls for the college. Bottom line for UIC is that I woould probably owe about $100,000 upon graduation. It would seem obvious which school to go to but it seems that NYU is more recognized than UIC... BMW vs Toyota. Also, do you guys know if NYU has a MANDATORY SUMMER SESSION or have an electronic version of NYU's curriculum? And just in case you are wondering, here are my stats:
