The title basically says it all and i'm interested in hearing your opinions. I hear great things about both schools and have no idea which to choose. The tuition is basically the same for both (at least for me). Also both schools are out of state for me. I want these questions answered if someone can help me out:

1. which school will give a better chance to specialize
2. In which school will I learn the clinical aspects better
3. which schools curriculum is more challenging

and any other tips/advice you guys have. Thanks!

Both probably have the same specialization rate; both fantastic and well credited programs. Chicago has the edge on clinicals but Ann Arbor is a better area to live in my opinion plus it's cheaper (I live in Chicago). Curriculums will both be challenging but Chicago has pbl which can be a major or minor adjustment based on your learning habits.

Congrats on the acceptances, both are fantastic schools and produce incredible dentists.

Hookah I appreciate your feedback and wish you the best of luck, seriously. If you get a UIC acceptance will you be attending there?

If I didn't have any other acceptance then yes, but I'm kind of sick of Chicago and I don't like the pbl all that much I'm better at sitting in a lecture haha. I think I'd attend any other school that I interviewed at this far, not the next two though (tufts and lecom).

1. Michigan
2. Michigan
3. Michigan (except they do not give a break to study for the boards)

I am from Michigan and my dad actually went there for dental school. Their program is truly limitless when it comes to an opportunity. The clinic experience at UIC is probably more unique due to the patient population. However, at Michigan part of the program allows for rotations around the state, so you could see an equally diverse patient population. I am at UNC right now and a lot of the faculty at the dental school hear rave about Michigan clinically (when not humbly bragging about UNC lol) due to faculty who write the textbooks used by dental schools.
