i also applied but haven't heard anything from them yet. do you know when the second round is taking place?

There is a chance that your interview was scheduled after an admissions board meeting, therefore a decision could not be made concerning your application. The next meeting is either January 18th or 23rd and Ann said that AADSAS will be updated following (probably that friday) the meeting.
So for those of you waiting on UIC, you're just going to have to wait til the middle of January...like me.

My stats are: 19AA, 19TS, 19PA, sgpa 3.52, cgpa 3.44. I had an interview with UIC pre dec. 1st, but did not get an acceptance from them in the first round. It's gonna be another long couple of months
Your stats are solid dude, I don't think I would worry if I were you. Have you been accepted to any others, or is your heart set on UIC?
Edit: And I'm assuming second round is January 15th being that most schools require that their first-rounders make a decision by that time. Hence my new thread: January 15th is the new Dec 1st

Do not give up yet people. The two students who gave me the tour both interviewed in MARCH or later and still got accepted. Unless you get a rejection, I wouldn't throw in the towel.
Also don't be afraid to email/call Ann, she is very helpful and friendly.

Man i hope you're right...I'd love to go to UIC but I haven't even gotten an interview invite yet...i've had some interviews already pre-dec 1st but its been nothing but waitlists...still waiting on NYU to come through though, but given the looks of things and all the people gettin waitlisted/rejected i think i'm dead there too.....congrats on your acceptances though Chrono

I got accepted to Case and Temple so far. I think an acceptance from UIC would be nice since it is my state school and close to home, but if that doesn't happen I feel Case and Temple are good schools as well. I feel I'm in a good position. Actually, in the beginning I thought I wouldn't get into any dental schools. Basically, beggars can't be choosers so I'm happy where I'm at.
I think I was bit too confident with UIC, I really thought I had a chance in the first round. It really brought my hopes down at first, but what can you do, it is out of my hands.
Good luck to those who didn't get acceptances yet. It is still early, so hang in there.
Last year I was in ur shoes, I had an interview before Dec. 1st & UIC kept me on my toes upto March or April (I hope that's not the case for you). But Dec. 1st I was accepted to Temple and since it was my 1st out of state school of choice I canceled a couple interviews I got after that.
Good luck, I'm really happy at Temple.
