On July 11th I received the following e-mail from UIC:

Dear Applicants:
It has recently been brought to our attention that the AADSAS website is experiencing technical difficulties. At this time, the website is not updating the specific details regarding the status of your application at our college. We have contacted AADSAS about this problem and we expect the situation to be resolved shortly.
We ask that you please continue to be patient and check the status of your application online when this situation is resolved. However, if you feel that you have a special circumstance regarding the receipt of your application materials, you may contact our office at 312-355-4815. This is an extremely busy time of year for us, but we will make every effort to return your call in a timely manner.

We appreciate your patience and understanding.

So here's my question ..... did any of you guys that applied to UIC (and received this e-mail) see an update on AADSAS yet? I'm trying to figure out if my status is still blank because of the AADSAS problem or if UIC just hasn't decided anything about me yet. 😕

Got the same email, but I haven't taken DAT yet so none of the schools have updated my status. Sit tight for a bit, it's still very early, and that e-mail from them shows that a lot of people have been worried and they are working on it! Good luck!

That's why I thought I'd ask. I didn't want to call them. Good luck to you too.

Anyone out there that has taken the DAT seen any changes on AADSAS regarding UIC?

i mailed july 2nd to 5 schools. none have updated aadsas. i did get the same email

It is AADSAS. Relax though, unless they have changed things in the last year, they won't be contacting anyone for interviews for another month or so.

Good luck

If you do call UIC and have an issue...make sure u talk to Anne Shorrock I think...she's the nice one...Jill on the other hand is a total Biatch. But don't let the "busy time of year thing" deter you from calling...if you want answers go after them, because there isn't a time of year when i applied last year that they weren't "swamped" or very busy that month :laugh:
best of luck!
