Does anyone know of anyone who has applied to the PMETB for a CEGPR and been successful without being told they have to complete another 3 to 6 months of additional training?

Even though a CEGPR might be attainable for a UK grad I get the impression that for an IMG it's impossible - of course the PMETB and the RCGP insist that every case is assessed on it's own merits.

Any personal perspective on the PMETB would be welcomed?

i am also interested in this, do US board certified family practioners generally need more training or are they approved to become GPs?

Thats correct. I think its next to impossible for an IMG to get through CEGPR. I tried it but refused many times. they always asked for more and more documents. some of that was ou of my hands. there were no internet no fax no scan the time i did my GP traning in India. but they still demanded. I think defnitely its a scam to get money out of IMG from India.
