I am trying to decide if UK is the Dental school for me. When I went for interviews it was on a weekend so it allowed me to see the school and clinics, but did not allow me to get an idea of how things are clinically or ask "random" students about the program.

I wanted to know what anyone has heard about UK's reputation.

Is it a solid school - good reputation? Are the students competitive (cutthoat) or are the classes close (friendly)? The facilities seemed up to date and if i remember correctly I like that you have your own operatory. Do students have a problem "recruiting patients" or is there a pretty steady stream?

How were their performances on the Boards I and II?

I liked the school and faculty that I met. Everyone seems extremely friendly. I just want to make sure it is a strong school and has a good rep. before I commit to it.

I know this is a loaded message and answer what you can/want to. I have not met many UK people out there so i'm interested to hear what you know or have heard about the school.

Cheers!

The basketball team is amazing!

Serious note, isn't Kentucky the only dental school in the whole entire state!? As a state school, I'm sure it has strong traditions and curriculum. If you can see yourself there for four years (in that city where the dental school is located), then I'm sure you'll be in a great dental program!

I know absolutely nothing about UK dental, but I do know that I've heard nothing negative about the school, ever!

Congrats on all your acceptances....
