Is it true that UMASS has an 'unwritten' rule that they won't take anyone who has gotten a C in a core course. Well I got a C in General Chemistry my freshman year, but I came back and got an A in Organic. I am just a little concerned, since a PhD that I work for gave me this information.

Since they accepted me, no, they don't have such a rule.
