If I have permenant residancy of USA, I definiely apply and take admission in University of Illinois, Chicago.
You are very lucky to get admission in UIC

congrats on ur acceptances. uic/umdnj both r good schools. depends where do u stay..nd where do u wanna settle... nd then u can see the fees nd practical exposure... but on the whole both r very good schools. gud luck with ur choice.......

congratulations!!!!!!!!!! u were interviewed on 10th sep? I also had an interview that day. so they have started sending acceptances.

how did u get the letter? by mail or E mail.

let me know because i m also waiting to hear from them.

I got an email from them. Yes, I was interviewed on 10th Sept.
 
any idea ,when they are calling next batch . as i have applied and have no reply from them

UMDNJ is cheaper so probably a better choice in long term

hi Everyone ..... finally finally finally .... after lots of rejections & waiting list, got acceptance from UMDNJ. I was interviewed on 6Nov & it was d last interview for me ..... so i guess things turned out right in d end. 🙂

I got d acceptance thru email .... i know of 1 female who also has been accepted & got d email at d same time as mine. I m from India, on a B1 visa .... i did not take any bench course to prepare for d exam. My stats r written in previous messages from me. Hope this all helps.

HI all,

First of all, I want to thank all the SDN members for all the support and inspiring stories. Thanks a million guys, without you all I won't have been able to reach my dream come true. After 3 constant yrs of struggling hard, here I am with the most awaited and fascinating word " ACCEPTANCE".😀 I am very happy and glad to join UMDNJ. I felt the school is nice and the faculty are great too. The interview day was very stressful but the school had arranged for very good breakfast and lunch.
My stats are as follows
NBDE part 1 -89% old pattern dec 2006
NBDE part 2 -76% oct 2008
Toefl - 98
ECE - 3.22
WES - 3.75
Experience - Home country(India) 1.5 yrs work experience in a private clinic as well as Dental college as a tutor.
US experience - volunteer observership 10 months, volunteer dental assisting more than 6 months, Couple of certificates in CE courses like Medical emergenicies in dental office, Nitrous oxide sedation, CPR/ First aid / aed certification from american redcross.
Interview in 2007 - NYU rejected
Interview in 2008 - NSU, UC denver - waitlisted.
Interview in 2009 - LLU - no personal interview , UMDNJ - ACCEPTED😍
USC - waiting

I did not take any bench test couching. I prepared at home for the bench test by setting up a mini preclinicl lab with compressor, hand piece, typhodont, bench mount, burs, teeth, instruments, and also I followed Duggans DVD as well as the manual for various tooth preps.

I just want to tell everyone to keep working hard as well as act smartly in the interview. Never lose hopes, hard work really pays of one day or the other. Do you best and leave the rest to GOD. He will do the justice. If you get rejected at one school, dont get disheartend. Instead work through it and you will find the success. I strongly consider that "Failure is the stepping stone for sucess" I started with no interview, then rejection, followed by waitlist and Finally ACCEPTANCE.
Its now time for me to do the

I was interviewed on Nov 6th at UMDNJ. yesterday I got a letter in mail stating that my application will be under reconsideration at a later date. Did any one get the same from UMDNJ? Please post if any get the same.
