Hello all:
I have been accepted to a few places, and am considering attending UMDNJ.
Rather than try to start a thread asking people which of the schools i should go to, I was hoping people could comment on the strengths of umdnj.
Also, please reference whether you have first hand account of any knowledge of umdnj, or if this is something you heard through the grapevine.
To be honest, coming from NYC, I had a rather low impression of umdnj. But when i interviewed there, I was quite impressed with the caliber of students and the strength of the clinical experience there.
Can someone please tell me what they think of umdnj from personal experience? Dr. Linfante has explicitly stated that 100% of students either matched or specialized, with a high percentage obtaining their first choice. Any current students know if that is true? Additionally, i was wondering if there were still fall out when umdnj was on probation.
I like umdnj because it's quite cheap (i'll change my residency to nj), it has a small class size than some other schools, and even though i live in manhattan it is actually very easy for me to commute there daily by PATH train (no driving, no tolls). The thing i don't like about umdnj is the location. But other than that, I'd love to hear any other likes and dislikes.
